I have been a devoted Cubs fan since I was 3 years old. One of my earliest memories is touching Ernie Banks' jersey as he walked through the stands to the press box in the ill-fated season of 1969 (see the black cat above!). My dream was to be sitting in Wrigley Field, with my family on the night that the Cubs break the longest championship drought in professional sports, and win their first World Series since 1908. After the ill-fated 2003 season, when playoff tickets were impossible to get and ridiculously priced on the secondary market, I realized the only way I would ever get to realize the dream was to buy season tickets.
After 10 years on the season ticket waiting list, I was given the opportunity to purchase 4 season tickets for the Chicago Cubs during the 100th anniversary year of historic Wrigley Field. My daughters, Delaney and Avery, and I traveled to Chicago from Dallas to pick the seats, and found a great spot, 7 rows back in the Upper Deck, behind home plate. The following year, we moved our seats down to the lower level, at a great spot on the third base line. To do so, we had to go to 2 tickets. The picture on the homepage is a computer rendering of the view from our current seats. This is one of the best places in Wrigley to watch a game, and we love our seats!
After only three years, my lifelong dream came true! I got to take my girls to games 4 and 5 of the World Series in Wrigley Field, and although game 4 was both amazing and heartbreaking, game 5 was a moment I'll never forget, as Delaney and I witnessed Aroldis Chapman closing out the most tension-filled game I've ever experienced with a strikeout (Delaney's video of that moment is above)! As we walked out of the stadium, we were surrounded by the sounds of "Go Cubs Go", sung louder than ever, echoing through the stands, from the rooftops and out in the Wrigleyville streets! And then they went to Cleveland and made history!
The purpose of this site is to make these great seats available at face value (regular season) to our family, friends and friends of friends. Since we live in Dallas, almost all of the games will be available. Check out the schedule page and see if one of the dates works for you. Come join us in our continuing dream and experience the magic and nostalgia of the Cubs and the Friendly Confines!
